Courses

A distinctive aspect of the Centre's courses is that they are part of ongoing work with local partner churches.  

Living with other Faiths 

This course is based around the Centre's  Resource Pack on the subject - which is also designed for congregations to use on their own.  CTC's Tutors are available to deliver the course which is then tailored to the particular needs of the area.  We have run the course in Shadwell (where it has led on to joint Christian and Muslim action to improve the safety and attractiveness of the neighbourhood and (this Eastertide) in Canning Town, where it is being followed up with an inter-faith Community Dialogue.

We are planning a course in Wapping in the autumn and in another part of Newham in Eastertide 2009.  

Christian Social Teaching - Acting for change in multi Faith contexts 

We are planning to launch a five-week course on this subject in the coming academic year.   

Leadership Training 

CTC staff take part in the leadership training provided by the Citizen Organising Foundation , COF's annual five-day training includes a stand-alone seminar on Working across faiths for social justice which can be booked directly through the Contextual Theology Centre.
